Two Miracle Births - Jesus' and Ours
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,”which is translated, “God with us.”
Matthew 1:23
The Scripture tells us in Luke 1:35 “that the Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God”.
When Jesus Christ was born it was totally a different birth to any the world had ever witnessed. He was born into the world not of it as we are. No family or race can boast credit for producing such a loving, caring, powerful person; Jesus chose the family line of David and came through them. Put clearly, He is a being for whom the human race can take no credit whatsoever.
Jesus Christ’s birth was a miracle, an advent of God into human flesh.
The other miracle is that which is repeated each time someone repents and accepts Christ.
Jesus comes into our being from the outside, just as He did at His birth. We can reject or accept Him. By Him, we enter the Kingdom of God. We will have no part unless we are born from above; not like our physical birth. “Christ is formed in us”, the miracle part, and then we begin to exhibit the nature of Christ. Alone we can do nothing to draw close to God or save ourselves; God in Christ does it all.
Our salvation and His birth are both miracles from outside. He came into the human race, and comes into willing lives.
I hope you realize your goodness is of no value to God unless the miracle birth occurs in you.
This should be why we celebrate Christmas; His birth, not the gifts we might receive.
Thank God and celebrate.

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
